Constitution of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (Summary)
Article 1: Party Name
The name of this party shall be Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP).
Article 2: Party Symbol
The electoral symbol of the party is a sheaf of paddy.
Article 3: Party Objectives
Bangladeshi nationalism, democracy, Islamic values, and economic emancipation.
Article 4: Membership
Any Bangladeshi citizen aged 18 years or above may become a member of the party.
Article 5: Organizational Structure
Organization at national, divisional, district, upazila, and union levels.
Article 6: National Council
The National Council is the supreme policy-making body of the party.
Article 7: Central Committee
The Central Committee manages the party between two council sessions.
Article 8: Discipline
Disciplinary action shall be taken against members who violate party discipline.
